OMG you guys, you gotta comment on this, coz I really need to improve. Also, this is my first time coloring in Photoshop. It's hard especially if you don't have a tablet and you suck at putting shadows. Nyaa, I don't know how to put shadows. So it sucks. The background is so horrible! I couldn't think of any other back ground, so that's what I just decided.
Please hit hard on me!! I need to improve so bad! It was tiring to color this, but I had a lot of fun. I really thank kuridoki for providing linearts. Coz if I do color my crappy drawings, then it would suck all the more.
I really had fun doing this!! Once again, it's my 1st time doing such things and well, it's fun.
It's adorable~! Improvements, huh? I think you perhaps should have left some white around the eyes... you know where the blue of her pupil is? In the sides of that. As for the shading, not bad! You did a really good job! Well around the hair you could make it lighter in bits where the light hits and reflects, un? And maybe with the clothing there should be a little more shade depending on where the light source is comin' from. What you should do is pick and angle where the light is coming from, and colour all the sides of the person that the light would be hitting in the lighter shades, and the bits where the light doesn't hit (near the other side... eg if the light is going this way ---> and the person is here [person is here] Do lighter colours here --->[person is here]<-- and do shade here. ^^ As for shade, a little more black wouldn't hurt. Yes, you don't want to go over the top but it can make a really good effect!
Dx Sorry if that was a bit uncalled for. Once I start typing... ;_; If I have offended you, sorry! Just trying to give constructive criticism... >< I think it is a wonderfully coloured piccy nevertheless! For a first time, it's brilliant! (BTW my advice is probably invalid... I'm hopeless at colouring on the computer... xD It's just my opinion from doing Graphics at school that's got me blabbering..)

Thank you so much for the comment!! Thank you! I'll improve. And hey, you didn't offend me or something, lulz, it helped out alot! Oh gawd, thank you thank you thank you thank you!
That's a really good constructive criticism! I'll do what you told me and remake the whole thing ^^
Thanks also for the comment!! Nyaa!!! Lucky you, they discuss graphics. In our school they don't teach us anything like that. Nyaaaa...
Remake it?? o_o;; But... it's already neat as! xD I did offend you, didn't I...
Anyway, that's just my silly little opinion... I've yet to work out how to colour in manga myself... all I can do is pick out features from looking at it. Making it is a whole different story... xD I just sorta judge the aesthetics, you know?
Eh, well in Graphics we do all sortsa stuff like instrument drawing (with rulers galore) but right back when we started, they taught us how to render/colour in. Like, with light sources and shading etc. x3 We picked it up from each other. Doesn't your school offer anything similar to that? Gotta love Graphics... some of the stuff we do is interesting! Like we've designed an easter egg box, a BBQ area, Pepsi logos, etc etc... right now I'm doing my current homework of creating a contemporary workstation AKA a fancy modern computer desk. xD It's not bad.

Naah, I won't remake it nalang! GAWD, that's too tiring. Lulz. NO!! You didn't offend me yo! Nyahaha, that critique was so encouraging! It makes me wanna do it all over again!
Maybe in second year they will teach us shadowing. Well, they're teaching us traditional art. The graphics that they only taught us is MS Paint! That was a pain in the @$$! Nyaa, I suck at traditional art. As in coloring in pencils and stuff.
Ohh I see. >< Colouring pencil can be a bit difficult. =3 I'm not so good at it either... but MS Paint? I lost my MS Paint years ago. Dx Sad, isn't it... but yes, I do hope they teach you shading soon! Traditional art is fine and all but some teachers tend to dwell on it which can be a pain... anyway, I'm glad I didn't offend ya. n.n; Phew..

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
